Haitian Actor Jimmy Jean-Louis Praises Nollywood
A few days ago, Haitian Actor Jimmy Jean-Louis, landed in Nigeria for the premiere of Kunle Afolayan’s The CEO, and the 47-year-old star definitely had an exciting time in Lagos as he shared photos of himself riding in a Keke Napep and enjoying roasted corn by the roadside.
Now the actor, who played a key role in Afolayan’s The CEO, is revealing he is originally from Nigeria. During a recent interview with HipTV, Jimmy stated that he connects with the Nigerian culture and traditions because of his roots, disclosing that his grandparents were actually Nigerians. He also opened up on why he loves to work with the Nigerian movie industry.
“I chose to work with Nigeria for the past ten years because it is the leading country in Africa with the most potential and power” In addition, the Phat Girlz actor commended Nollywood, saying it has a better representation of African cinema.
Jimmy Jean-Louis has starred in a couple of Nigerian movies which include Dr. Bello, Relentless and One Night in Vegas.
